Immersed! TV launches for 2025 edition

by Gareth Evans

Immersed! TV is up and running for its seventh edition, with six bands having already recorded performances for broadcast.

Platoon will be among the bands on the main Immersed stage

The Immersed Festival is an annual event organised by students at the University of South Wales (USW) on behalf of the environmental charity Music Declares Emergency.

The festival itself will take place on Saturday 22 March at the Tramshed in Cardiff, and the event’s television programme will be available to stream online a few weeks later.

Six bands have already performed on stage at USW for the programme, several of which formed at the university.

Rae Middleton, who plays bass for The Audacity in addition to her own solo show, said she is excited for the opportunity Immersed will present her and her band.

‘Hopefully Immersed will give us the chance to showcase what we can do live.’

The Liabilities frontman Sami Hashem was also optimistic. He said: ‘There’s a lot of content coming from Immersed already which really helps.’

‘Including Immersed! TV,’ added bandmate Roan Hopkins.

The theme for this year’s festival is ‘Regeneration’, with the aim to inspire positive change across the creative industries towards a sustainable future.

Brighton-based rap duo Frankie Stew & Harvey Gunn will headline this year’s event in their Welsh debut. Further information, including tickets, can be found at the official website: https://immersedfestival.co.uk
